How the programs work

It's no secret, finding quality, affordable student housing options is challenging at the best of times. Are you tired of going to see student rentals that are, well, the typical student rental? Well, look no more.

Welcome Home Management has designed a student rental experience with the student in mind. In tailoring our program, we've put together a program that focuses on what today's student wants. The owners that we represent invest in their properties and truly want the best for the students that live there.

Our program is big on accountability. We expect the student AND their parent/guardian to be fully accountable to the terms outlined in our lease and Welcome Home Management is prepared to be accountable as well.

How The Program & Application Works

Book your showing

You can book your showing completely online by going to our Search Rentals page. From there, answer a few questions in advance to set up a showing.

Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation email and text message after you book your showing. 24 hours in advance, you will receive one more message from us asking you to confirm your showing.

IF YOU DO NOT confirm the showing, 1 hour in advance of the showing, the system will cancel your showing. Do yourself a favour and confirm the showing!

Interested In Applying For A Property?

You MUST complete all steps within 48 hours after beginning, otherwise your placement shall become VOID and given to the next applicant.

1. Online Application & Deposit

In order to secure a room in one of our Student Properties, you will be required to fill out our online application by going to: Student Application

Upon completion of the application, in order to secure a room and hold first priority you are required to send an Interac E-Transfer in the amount of One Month’s rent to student@welcomehomepm.ca

You must include the following information in the comment section of your transfer:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email Address
  • Rental Address + room #

*If you do not secure 1st position, a full refund by e-transfer will be processed.

2. Upon Acceptance Of Your Application

The following documents will be emailed to you and required to be signed electronically you in order to secure the room and remove it from the market:

  • Terms & Conditions of Welcome Home’s Student Rental Program
  • Ontario Standard Lease & Welcome Home's Appendix
  • Welcome Home’s Commitment to Lease Agreement
  • Ontario Standard Consent to Email Policy

Disclaimer & Penalty

If an applicant or group secures first position and fails to complete Steps 1 & 2 steps within the 48-hour allowable period, funds will be refunded in full less a $50.00 administration fee per applicant. All Service Deposits are non-refundable after 48 hours with lease signing.

All applicants understand that Welcome Home Management does not necessarily manage all the properties shown and may merely be showing the property on behalf of a Landlord. Please inquire as to who manages the property you are interested in.
